Voice services: ComputerTalk & Nuance Extend Airline's Web Services With Speech Recognition

ComputerTalk, developer of packaged and custom speech applications, and Nuance, the voice automation expert, have announced that they have implemented Phase I of a voice solution that replicates a jet liner's web services over the phone. More than 80% of the airline's business is performed over the web, but customers are not always online to access the web site. With the speech solution from ComputerTalk and Nuance, customers can now call a toll free number to receive flight information. The next phases of the project will incorporate more voice enabled services including bookings and cancellations, and automatic flight updates via email and SMS. more ...
